Faith Formation
Helping children, teens, and families grow in their relationship with Jesus Christ and the Catholic faith.
Faith Formation
At Sacred Heart, our Faith Formation program seeks to nurture children and youth in the knowledge and love of Jesus Christ and His Church. Through prayer, catechesis, sacramental preparation, and community, we strive to help young people grow as faithful disciples rooted in the Catholic faith.
We joyfully accompany families as children prepare to receive the Sacraments of First Holy Communion and Confirmation, encouraging a lifelong relationship with Christ and active participation in parish life. We are honored to walk alongside our families in faith as they continue growing together in their relationship with the Lord and His Church.

First Holy Communion
This is a sacred milestone in the life of a child and their family. Through prayer, catechesis, and participation in the life of the Church, children prepare to receive Jesus Christ truly present in the Holy Eucharist for the very first time. As the Catechism of the Catholic Church teaches, “The Eucharist is the source and summit of the Christian life” (CCC 1324). Preparation for First Holy Communion helps children grow in their understanding of God’s love, the Mass, and the importance of living as faithful disciples of Christ.
Confirmation
Confirmation is a sacred sacrament in which baptized Catholics are strengthened by the gifts of the Holy Spirit and more deeply united to Christ and His Church. Through prayer, catechesis, service, and participation in the life of the Church, young people prepare to fully embrace and live out their faith. As the Catechism of the Catholic Church teaches, Confirmation “brings an increase and deepening of baptismal grace” (CCC 1303), equipping the faithful to witness to Christ with courage and love in their daily lives.
